Food is what makes us tick at The Georgian House especially with such an abundance of superb local produce on our doorstep...

Our food reflects our passion in keeping things uncomplicated with fresh, high quality produce. We aim to make the most of the surroundings and believe in sourcing local and sustainable produce where possible.

The menus are contemporary with a mix of traditional British pub and European with a seafood influence. We maintain a constant bar menu for those of you wanting something quick and easy. Our short and seasonal main menu will have a small selection of recurring favourites, but will see changes daily according to what is brought to our back door and what is at its seasonal best.

Breakfast (residents only)

Our residents can start the day with the choice of breakfast in the Walpole Room, Orangery or even out in the garden if the sun is shining. Breakfast will set you up for the day with a selection of fresh bread and preserves, fresh juices, local yoghurts, kippers from across the road at Bugsy's Fish Shop or the whole works with bacon and sausages from Kiln Farm.

Saturday Brunch

Celebrate the weekend with a lazy brunch over the Saturday papers. Our brunch menu includes weekly specials and traditional English breakfast fare.

Lunch

Lunch can be as fleeting or as long a visit as you like. Grab a crab sandwich and a chilled glass of white in the garden before heading to the beach, refuel with a hearty pie of the day in the bar after a long walk or settle in for the afternoon to a lingering lunch in the Orangery.

Tea Time

There’s nothing better than sitting down in front of the fire to a steaming pot of tea and a slice of cake. Choose from our selection of locally baked cakes or scones with Alderney clotted cream and catch up with a friend or read the paper.

Supper

Supper starts early for families and early birds. The menu is kept short, fresh and seasonal. Most evenings you will see something different; from barbeques and seafood Paella in the garden to international cuisine feasts and extravagant taster menus in the Orangery.
